Foxtoberfest Week is here. Let's gooooooo! :burnout:

Weather's been looking a little iffy, rain-wise, in early look-aheads. Checking this morning, the forecast is improving. May see some rain this year, particularly Friday.... but the chances are decreasing the closer we get. Hope that trend continues. Oh well, won't keep me away.

@FastDriver - I'll be arriving Thursday late afternoon/early evening. Will be staying at Embassy. Give me shout whenever you make it to the Charlotte area. Fyi, driver services still available. :SN:

@Monkeybutt2000 - You gonna be able to make it?? Rumor is your uncle has plenty of room! :p
(Don't forget the dizzy. ;))
Not this year, too tied up in my side hustle (PDR) right now.

From the first pics in front of the Tavern..... Is the rollbar in the white convertible factory? Just wondering if the car is some special model possibly? Don't know the fox bodies as well as most do on here?

My favorite from the brewery, even though I am neither a 4-eye guy, nor a 4.6 guy:

Just loved everything... The side exhaust sets it off. The interior is killer. The ground effects, MM suspension, and of course the drivetrain are all amazing.
This is Robert Miller , he used to be in here if I remember . He originally built the red 4 eye t ttop with the coyote . It had few drivetrains . 32v with a blower , then carb sbf , and now the coyote

My buddy dom just did rear coil overs for the guy with the pro charged calypso . He came to the all ford c@c here . It still had ROH wheels on it . They did the suspension and new wheels for the show I believe

On Thursday, we went to the Mooresville Dragway, an 1/8 mi track. I got 3 runs in with Black Jack, which makes the first time I've run on a drag strip since I purchased the car back last summer for $3.8k.

The first time I owned it back in 2014-2017, earlier in this thread, it went a best of 12.63@108, but I was pulling out all the stops: iced intake, UD pullies (now stock), removed fan if not the belt. It still had the T5 with 3.35 1st gear (now a 2.66), the stock bellhousing & light T5 (now a heavier QuickTime Bellhousing & T56), lower mass stock brakes (now Cobras) and ponies (now 17" SVEs), front stock springs with rear B-springs so they were taller with backwards rake that helped put weight on the back tires (now B-springs all-around), 1/4 tank (now 3/4), no gear in the car (now I prolly had 50-70 lbs left to pull out), no Kil-mat yet (now prolly 80 lbs of it), and probably more I'm not thinking of. The temps were reasonably warm, this time, too.

The only advantage this time is that I am on 275 Nitto 555RII Drag Radials, which I can do because I don'thave a T5 to blow up on sticky tires. I dropped em to 16 psi, did a nice smokey burnout and let it eat! The track was sticky and I started off bogging. By my 3rd pass, I was launching at 6k RPM and still hooking pretty solid when slipping the clutch.

I ran a best of [email protected]. I'm more familiar with 1/4 mi numbers and that converts to something like a 12.89-13.05 @ 104-105.6, which is what I was hoping for/ expecting. I know I could pull at least .2-.3 better and a couple mph with the right air & prep. So, that's a good baseline before the nitrous.

It helps that the guys I lined up with in the other lane were also running GT40 combos and fortunately I got the better of them. It was a fun time.

Here're slips and a vid of my first run, a very close race with a cool guy named Jason in an GT40 AOD car. He wanted another chance, so he followed me back to the staging lanes as I hot-lapped to run me again on my 2nd pass:

Grover's been in a few vids, but nothing with substantial attention to this point. I still expect a couple of interviews to be posted and some night shots by the youtube 'influencers'.

Here's a pic or two from the first day that I took myself:

For a 75k mile car, the paint's still lookin' ok.

Here's a car with the new RideTech SLA suspension installed:

War Admiral & the 4-eye side-exhaust car from the brewery are pretty tough to beat. Love those cars! Was cool to see 'em in person!
