Ok long story short..cleaned TB with GUNK TB cleaner with car running...left me with high idle and surge, so about $100 for new TPS sensor and IAC cause the car has 190,000 miles and I figure new is better, then still crapy idle so remove TB and clean it and EGR which was REALLY gummed up, I suspect from carbon and grease combined with liquid TB cleaner *ucken mess! Now I have done the Idle ajust and reset TPS about 3x and finally I have rock solid idle at about900RPM and I'm not touching it..BUT sometimes RPM's will hang or spike about 100-200 during shifts intermitently. And I noticed my fuel pressure gauge is stuck at 38PSI with stock regulator. When I pull of the line Pressure jumps to 39 and car Idle increases significantly to show me I don't have a leak (also checked for leaks 20HG all good vac off the vac tree) Question is...is pressure spiked because of bad regulator? it drops to 34-32 when I shut car off and hangs for ages so I think pump is ok. 2ND would spiked fuel pressure affect the rpm hanging during shifting or affect Idle?? CAR IS KILLING ME I CAN'T MOD IT IF MONEY KEEPS GOING INTO MAINTENENCE AND I DON'T WANT TO SPEND GOOD AFTER BAD IF I DON'T HAVE TO..ok done yelling now, guess my short story not short afer all
