I have seen the replica wheels on american muscle, but really like these much better. Anyone have any pics of these wheels the S197? Would they even clear the brake calipers?

I don't know. The ad says they are for 1994-2004 models.

I heard from a local Ford Racing dealership that an S197 model was in the works but nothing concrete just yet. Replicas are great (I have a black chrome staggered 18in set) but you can forget about running anything other then stock calipers as the clearance is pretty much on the tick.

They will clear the GT brakes, but they will stick out. They won't be bad up front, but they'll noticeably stick out in the back.

I run the Black 18X9 FRPP FR500 wheels with the 24mm spacing. They are not targeted for the S197, but they work just fine. The only problem is that you really need to run 255/40/18's to keep the wheels under the fenders.

I like the look (they fit close to the edge of the fenders), and 255's are fine for my daily driving. I have another set of track wheels that I switch out when I need real traction.

I originally bought them used w/ 285/40's on the back and they did stick out slightly.

i run the 99-04 authentic FR500's with KDW2's 275/35/18s and they dont stick out at all. they sit perfectly flush with the fender wells
