thanks for the time

Cutting and welding in a new frame is a no-no for myself.

Check with your local body shop and see what THEY say about the frame. A lot of times bent frames can be corrected.

IMO, consider swapping over to the parts car. I know you said you dont want to beause you used a lot of parts off it already... but think about it like this: The parts car is now THE car and wrecked one is the donor. The donor should have all the parts u will need to complete the project (providing the donor is complete for the more part)

Wow, that was painful to read. I'm with poneypower89, if the parts car you already have is good, use it instead. You could probably get the other one fixed, but you'll now have the possibility of that frame rail becoming a weak point after being stressed and then welded, too. If the hood hinges snapped on the car you want to fix, chances are, you've got more work ahead of you with fixing the cowl and, or firewall, too. The only way to really know how much damage it sustained would be to get it on a frame rack and measure, but to be perfectly honest, merely having to ask about welding a frame rail to repair it means this car is basically toast if there is that much damage.

If the upper rail is not kinked or bent too severely then it will be able to be straighted pretty easily by a body shop with a frame machine. Check your door /fender gap, hood gap etc to see how bad the damage is. Also check for cracked seam sealer around the strut tower/firewall etc. If you can post some pics, I can tell you a little more.
