I didnt even know you could put 315's on 9 in rims. They are a tight fit on my 10.5's
Im guesing it has something to do with the back spacing.

I dont think it would be that hard to cut some of the lining out though.

NOTE TO ALL ASKING REGARDING 315 on 9 INCH RIM:

The Nitto 315's are about the equivelent of a standard 285 tire, so that's why you can fit those on a 9 inch wheel. I have the 315 Nitto DR's on the back of my 17X9 04 cobra wheels, and they bulge slightly, but fit fine. Any other brand would be FAR too big.

WhiteDevil:

If the rubbing issue continues, you can put a set of 1/8th inch spacers on the rear. It will look great, and be safe with your stock axle-studs. They're far cheaper than the $100+ spacers you're looking at, due to size differences.

315's?

haha, nah. They seem to be fairly standard in the smaller sizes, just small in their larger sizes for some reason. You can fit a nitto 245 all the way through nitto 315 on a 9 inch rim... Crazy.

Just to clarify... the bfg's are 12.4 width and the Nitto's are 12.1

data from:
http://www.nittotire.com/tires_555r.asp
and
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Spec....odel=g-Force+T/A+Drag+Radial+2&tirePageLocQty=

at least that is the way I read it
