Man running around town today I came across a lil nissan, you could hear the cam, but im thinkin.. no prob he's a 4cyl. he cant be but in the low 13's Dont need to pop the trunk and open the bottle.. . Bad move, turns out he's runnin turbo and sprayin it down... lil dude is runnin down in the 11's.
I am definately ordering the pieces I need for the auto bottle opener next paycheck.. kills me still cause I hadnt found anyone on the street (that you dont see at the track) as fast till today. I know theres always always someone faster but not a raggedy a$$ looking nissan pyle... guess I need to hit the bottle open just in case no matter what from now on.

If it's a newer nissan it's not raggedy! Nissan has always built decent cars. 300zx twin turbo comes to mind. So does the 360 and Altima. Sure, not really "my cup of tea" but hey. Well built non the less. Wasn't the datsun a Nissan? The 240z and 260z's were good performers back in the day.

If that Goofy Ass Nissan is managing to pull an 11 Sec Quarter it wont be long until the Tranny grenades or the CV Joints and Axles Explode, plus it would be an absolute horrible nightmare to try to drive as torque steer would be yanking the steering wheel every which way.

those nissans are so quick, theres one at the track on of those s13 lookin cars, the car has no traction, the car is has a suspension for drifitng or something because the car was sideways the whole way down the track was staying straight, and STILL ran 13's at 115mph! thats 11 second potential.

240SX, Corolla GTS and all the Z's are rear wheel drive. With that kind of power, it was probably a 240SX or a Z-car.

Nissan Skyline comes into play here. With a turbo and the right suspension setup, we're talking high 11's and still setup for road racing. I know because there is one down the road from my dad's that is putting down 582whp. Who knows what motor he had swapped in it or what has been done. Should of stopped and asked him! I am always impressed when I see a 4cylinder putting down big power and still being dependable on the street.

They arent doing motor swaps, they come from the factory with inline 6 cylinders, turbocharged, and all wheel drive. The latest ones (iirc) have just under 500hp from the factory

Yes, I know the Skylines do come stock with the inline 6. I should of stated that differently. I meant, if it was a front wheel drive Nissan it could have a six cyl. put in it or the internals rebuilt. If it sounded like it had a cam, chances are it did. There's no telling what was done without asking and the fact it's running 12's or lower means. Someone dumped alot of money into that car and probably didn't over look the driveline.

lol seriously!

i think nissan build overall the finest engines out there. I owned an infiniti (nissan) and that thing was unreal. besides oil i barely had to touch the thing for 272k miles. But i ran into a nissan the other day with two homeboys in it with the bigh fart can, lowered, bigass tach damn near hangout out of his window, and a bucnh of other tachs. i gave hom a car and a half lead and let him take off first. it was pretty embarrassing how badly i stomped him though. what a POS

The problem with making so much power with these 4 cyl.s is that they aren't to reliable. I saw at th track the other day I ran right after him and he was broken down in the turn off lane after one run. He did run a 12 sec run thoughI asked him what went wrong and he blew a fuel line, not what I was expecting lol WTF?!?!

Agreed, if you spend enough money you can make anything fast, but is the rest of the vehicle going to be able to support it? Like I mentioned above, CV Joints would explode, axle shafts would break, and countless other issues which would make it horrible to drive.

I read a story about that stupid False and Foolish, Japan Oversteer Movie and I think that is the Ricer Engine they spent 2 Months making fit in the Mustang and yet when they needed a car with power for stunts they used a V8 Mustang, LOL. Nissan is run by the French Company Renault now, so they have to be a joke!
