FREE RAM AIR MOD???

hey..i dunno about yall but im pretty familiar with the LS1's...well there are a few free mods that u can do for a horse or 2..has anybody heard about or built..a Ram air for the 4.6s? I was looking at the March Ram air..and it looks like a peice of air duct coming from the bottom..i guess the real question would be..how would u make the peice that sits on top of the engine..has anybody ever done this before? It cant be that hard..or can it? Feel free to input--Trey

Ram Air is mostly good for crapping up your air filter. I've used the March kit in the past, and I remember getting SES lights that came up as 'Insufficient Inlet Airflow'. Don't really see the point in using a mod that prevents the engine from breathing after a few miles of use.

I had the March system on my previous 97 GT. it suked, didnt feel any difference and had to clean the filter more often. The air filter was sooo dirty when i would take it out to clean was a big waste of money. when i finally pulled the thing off of the car be4 I sold it, i found small rocks, leaves, loose dirt, etc.... inside of the inlet tube
