Fresh rebuild with Idle issues

Some background Fresh rebuild .30 over (306) with a TFS H/C/I kit. Stock TB, 24# Inj. I went with a granatelli MAF setup for 24# Inj (Stock air box). I have followed the 'surging idle checklist' and still cannot get the car to idle right??? Any thoughts? I have been at this for about a month and very frustrated. thanks...

Also, what TYPE of idle issues?

too low, too high? or just surging really badly?

Personally, I had an idle problem (idling low enough to die and surging)

I bumped the idle screw on the TB just a tad and brought the idle up to 800 rpms and it starts and purrs like a kitten (well, small tiger )

However, the blower is putting more resistence on the crank so my problem may have just been a need for a little more throttle to keep up.. who knows.
