I had mine done at a local machine shop in southern Cali, they are a division of CarQuest called H.D.S. Machine, for $470.00. They check straightness at all angles, replace freeze plugs, replace valve seals, find and replace bad springs, retainers, valves and valve guides. Cleaned and painted heads, ford blue. I had 120,000 miles on my heads and included in that price, they replaced 6 exhaust valves, 2 intake valves, 2 valve guides, removed a broken intake bolt from one head and cleaned my upper and lower intakes. Every thing came back looking brand new. Just the cleaning, painting and rebuild was $120.00, the intake cleaning was $65.00 for both. Tha broken bolt was $60.00, so mattering on the condition of your heads it could be really cheap to have them reconditioned professionally. Hope this helps Good luck
