Nah here is the thing just because the cars in the movie are imports/ japanese cars doesn't really matter to me. Even in real life I believe the same rule applies. Fast cars are fast cars to me. I am a car ENTHUSIAST first and I give credit where credit is due regardless if its American made, European, or Japanese. Doesn't really matter if its a Mustang, Camaro, STI, or even a Civic. If a person can put enough mods into a Civic to give it over 300hp then I respect that.
What I don't like are the idiots who put a loud exhaust and a couple after market filters on their cars and think they have a formula 1 orientated car that can take down any car in any class. I also don't think movies like the Fast and the Furious depict people like that. The people in the movie seem to be making legitimate power adding mods. Now Im not saying I wanna go out and street race now since thats what the movie glorifies but I think because it touches on something in society the is kind of frowned upon makes it a good movie. You can't all honestly say you wern't cheering for Tony Montana to kill all the bad guys at the end of Scarface because he was doing ungodly amounts of coke by the end of the movie.
But people need to know where to draw the line. The people who went out to autozone and bought a new exhaust and some spinners thinking they were legitimate to street race now are idiots and I think that is why most people who are into the car scene think the movie is bad. But I think as A MOVIE it had some solid action with some
decent but not great actors with a pretty good storyline/ plot. If you still disagree with me after that then thats cool because if you don't like it then you don't like it. Everyone has their own opinion.

Lol.
