I was wondering what size rotors are on the front of the 8 cylinder fox's? Cause I got new rotors today and they are 11" rotors and my old ones are 10". So I was wondering if maybe my spindles are from a 4 cylinder fox. Also I got new pads and the holes on the outer pad don't match the holes in the caliper. Are the 8 cylinder calipers bigger too? Cause the holes in my calipers are a little too close together for my new outer pads. If any one has any info on this topic please share.

Thanks,
Dave

87+ V8 Mustangs have 10.8" rotors (also called 11")

Early pre-87 Mustangs all had 10" brakes. (some even had 9" rotors)

87-93 4-cylinder Mustangs have the same 10" rotors and spindles as the pre=87 V8 Mustangs.

Sounds to me like your car used to be a 4-banger Mustang. In order to run the larger 11" rotors, you'll need to change the spindles, rotors, calipers and front brake lines.

Check the VIN. 8th digit tells the engine from the factory. If it was a factory 5.0..it will be a letter "E"
