Noob question...but what are the determining factors when choosing your front coil over springs..choice options on AJE are 150,175,200,and 225lb springs.
Shed some light on the subject for me please.

150-175lbs are great for drag racing setups, & are most likely very soft during street use, similar to stock 4 cylinder springs. the 200-225lb springs are going to be a little firmer, but will still work well at the track...

Just as an example for you, my maximum motorsports front coilovers are 325lbs, & they are similar to an H&R supersport spring. They dont offer much weight transfer, but they handle & ride great on the street...

glad you posted I been reading all your other threads.
So which spring would you recommend? it is a track only car seeing very little street use.Do track cars like firm springs or a softer type. Also what strut will best fit the AJE setup I noticed it comes with everything, but the struts...
thanks for the fast reply

Im no expert on drag racing setups, but I think the softer the better. I think lakewoods, or strange adjustables are the best setup for drag race coil over setups... I would recommend the 175-200lb springs...

Im running a #110 QA1 spring on my drag car. My car only weighs #2700 so that could change a lot between mine and yours.

so the sleeve for the coil over slides down the shock stem then screw the coil over perch on for spring to rest on?you can basically use a stock shock then? correct? there really isn't anything special except for it being a performance shock?

Thanks

then softer the better, now i know my car is a walking MM ad but i do really believe in their products, and they will always stand behind them no matter what, quality is second to none, only downside is the price

I'll check and see what my buddy is running...his seem to be too stiff but they're supposed to be a drag spring/shock setup. His is so firm that when you sit on the fender it barely goes down at all and he has very little weight transfer.

He said he's pretty sure they're 150s but his car is also really low which might be part of it.

Depends on the weight of the car. Mine are 150's because I knew it was going to weigh around 2900 lbs.
