front end squeeking?

At about 90,000 my front end started squeeking, turned out that the ball joints had dried up (no grease fittings :bang: ), so I replaced those.
Now at 111,000 it's squeeking up front again. What is it this time, the outer tie rod ends (that don't have grease fittings)? A steering rack wouldn't make that noise would it? Should I replace the inner tie rod ends while I'm at it? Should I replace the rack while I'm at it?
Thanks
Jim

I had similar problems and I just knew it had to be the tie rod ends or ball joints or steering rack because it happened whenever I turned the wheels. Turned out when I switch to the KYB struts the squeaking went away. Have you ever replaced your shocks? I didn think that was my problem but it was.

Hmmm, good info!
My car doesn't squeek when I jump up and down on the front of the car, only when I turn the wheel. (no, it's not he power steering pump)
So it could be struts, or tie rod ends, (or the rack I suppose)(I have new ball joints, so I wouldn't be that)
So how do I decide which one?

Do the tie rod ends and the shocks/struts. Mine didnt squeak when I pushed it up and down either but it did when I turned the wheels. Wierd I know  But if your at 90,000 miles it's time to change your shocks and struts anyway.

Sounds like a great excuse to get a drop kit!

I would try putting wheel bearing grease on the tie rods (if you can), and see if that makes it stop. If it does, then replace them anyway.
