Front end too high!!

Currently have Eibach sportline springs and the front end is way too high for me. I was thinking about H&R SS with MM isolators or just taking out the front isolators only.

The rims are 18 x 9.5" all the way around w 245/40's on front 275/35's rear. The rear end sits just right. Currently 27 1/8" front and 27" rear.

Any suggestions?? Bigger tires maybe??

Bought the car like this so not sure if someone goofed up the install. I would expect the front to be lower than it is.

my car with sportlines used to sit slammed!!!!! but then I sold them to my friend so I could "upgrade" to the H&R SS. I put isolators in front and rear, where as with the sportlines I just had them on the rear, but man the front of my car sits worse than yours. I think im going to cut half a coil or so and see if that helps.

thats a common problem. my sportlines also sat too high in front, and then to make things worse, the rear ended up sagging too low... so i pulled out the front isolators.

Trying removing both the top and bottom isolators in the front before you go about buying new springs. Even though i used to recommend them, I've seen plenty of stangs on H&R SuperSports where the front end sits even with the rear or higher than the rear.
... and even if you swapped out the isoloators to aftermarket ones, it would probably end up making the car sit a tiny bit higher as well because most of them are a little thicker than the squashed, used stock isolators.

Thanks, it is kinda bizarre some stangs looked slammed with the same setup.

Looks like I'll take out the isolators on the front only and see what happens.

you'll drop another 1/2" with both isolators removed

My god man I feel your pain!!!!!! I have the exact same problem



But my suspension set up is fairly new and I was told it should lower itself after the springs have been broken in a lil.

Well it could be the install as well.. if the pig tails on the front springs are NOT in the right place (all you would need to do is to check and maybe turn them into place)

Also i am willing to bet that it has some MM isolators on it or something.. that it WAY to high, i agree with you 100%...

You can check by taking off the front tires and just look at the spring and see if its in the correct spot...

I got the same issue, called Eibach twice, they hung up on me twice.

You guys have to get ball joints, either from steeda or from ford racing. With the ball joints you will lower the front the way you want it! I had the same problem, installed the ball joints and didnt have that problem anymore!! Look into them!

Damn!!!
Am i the only one with the Eibach Sportlines that slammed my stang.I had to put two iscolator pads/bushings on the top of my front coils to get it off the ground (used my stock uppers,with a Maximum Motorsports uppers (trimmed to fit on top the stocker) and lower bushings),and the rears are perfect as is.

first of all 245 on 9.5" rim is just not safe to me. And sure contribute to stupid looks. Get 275 on that before anythingelse.

Next. As far as your front end hight... I think the cheapest way to correct this would be to remove both isorater on front.
Mine is Sportline with both isorater removed. 2.25" all together drop, with 275 on 9" rim.

BUT when you lower that much, you are upsetting the front end geometry! It look nice, but not as well balanced as if your dropping say 1.25" with C spring.
And your also run in to an issue with driveability - i have to replace bumper with OEM everytime get aligment just get on the Hunter machine, You'll need C/C Plate, and simple task of changing oil becomes chore(as you'll have to drive up on ramp just get enough hight to stick floor jack). If you want anything done at dealership, they MAY actually refuse to work on your car as they can not get lift unser your car(Which is how I HAD to learn to fix chit on my own)

Already have cc plates and over 20k on the front 245's. If it was unsafe I would have found out already...besides this is the tire size tire rack recommends for the front with an SSR rim.

I want to be able to turn without rubbing. Not sure if 275 will work on the front with a 9.5 rim plus addition lowering. Next rear will be 285/35 or 285/40.

I think Eibach is not consistant with their product. Still don't quite undersatnd how some cars are slammed and some aren't.

ha. I would think 8" or 8,5" is the proper size for 245. with 245 on 9.5" rim, you have zero rim buard i would think. Well, its your car. Not mine

285 on front WILL rub no matter what spring you use tho. SO i would stick with 275(which would work nicely on 9.5

Mity where did you get that 4.6 decal on your hood scoop? I've been looking for one to put on mine.

i would think eibach would be consistent..... i would definetly check those pigtails. but i have heard of some prokits needing a camber kit and some not.

hell.. i think my prokit slammed it

I had the same problem with my old springs. I had the bullitt suspension package from FRPP and the rear say to low. Waited a few months and still there. There was a 1" difference between my front and rear. Had a few Roush Springs put in up front and now she is level as can be. Roush also sells single springs so you don't need the set of 4.

Not sure if Isolators are in there or not as I had a shop do the work. I did look under the front springs and there is some foam but does not look like a real isolator.

Or you could just get a bigger / heavier engine in there and that might level her out

Roush springs are what I am currently running.
