Front left brake popping

My 1990 has recently developed a pop from the front left disc every time I press the brake pedal. Anyone know what could be the cause of this before I take off the wheel? hopefully something is just loose, i really dont feel with screwing with the car for now

It's probably something loose, like you said. I wouldn't recommend driving the car unless you can find the cause of the problem and determine that it's nothing brake, or suspension related that could cause an accident. You're going to have to pop off the wheel and take a look, unfortunately.
