Front Sits High , Rear Sags ?

I know these threads probably come up alot but I HATE the way my car sits . When my '89GT was all stock it sat even front and back and looked pretty good . Well I put new FRPP front control arms (used the stock springs) and new 90/10 struts . The rear has lakewood lower control arms with edlebrock adjustable uppers (set at stock length) and strange shocks.

The car sits nose up with a fairly significant gap between the fender and the top of the tire. The rear sits with the quarter panel lip having just enough gap between it and the rear tire. I was thinking about maybe a new set of springs but I don't want to hurt my 60' at the track or anything . Any suggestions ?

If you just replaced the a arm I would say give it a week or two for it to settle in New bushings a struts take a little time to brake in also make sure your springs a seated right in there pockets I think Amy kind of lowering spring is gonna hurt your 60 foot Times maybe try 4 cyl. Springs or you could always cut half a coil

I should of specified but I did the front end over a year ago . I made sure the springs went back the exact same way they came out . I have a set of 4cylinder front springs but I have heard that they suck on a daily driver and I have heard that they aren't bad ?

The front has a 4 finger gap between the tire and fender while the rear has a 2 finger gap between the quarter and the tire.

Too bad they don't make something called a "tape measure".

When you put the new FCA in, did you do it with the suspension loaded? If not, the preload on the bushings effects ride height.

Also, list what tires and rims you're using. Along with fender heights for all four fenders (yes, they are often all different).

Also, with the new FCA, did you put in new isolators? If so, rubber or ploy? How are the isolators in the rear?

The 4cyl springs + the 90/10's are the reason why your car sits so high. The90/10s are horrible on the street and w/ those springs you have a straight line driver I know I had the exact set up once before. I'd put your stock struts back in the car it will handle better sit lower and launch pretty well. Now if it's a wkend cruiser and for the strip put an air bag in the right rear and call it a day. IMO...

I have stock V8 springs still , I have a set of 4cyl springs in my shed I could use if I feel the need . And the car drives fine with 90/10's and no front sway bar.

Now that I think about it I don't think I had weigh on the suspension when I torqued down the control arms in the from how much could the ride be affected by this ?

I do not give a rat's *ss about arguing with people that don't know what they are talking about. Nor, getting into pissing matches with people talking out of their rear. However, **I** am also very careful and I try to make sure that I do NOT pass on moronic RICER myths in my posts. Read what I write if you want FACTS (as best as I know them, and as they agree with my schooling/degrees/experience). If you want stupid RICER info, then do not read what I write and read stupid ricer info.

Note: My statement the above is not meant in anyway at all towards the posts above. I'm talking in general. In fact, "Old Skooler" is one of the few people that also gives good/correct advice in the forums.

New isolators in the rear? When I put in my springs I didn't replace the iso's in the rear and I had the same problem you're having. $25 later, my car sits perfectly.
