Front Spindles (94 vs. 96) Identification

I've done much reading about how 1996+ spindles push a wheel out further on a fox.

If I've buying used, how do I determine the difference ?

I other words, I only want a 94/95 spindle... so how can I identify the correct part ?

You can look at the P/N, for 94 and 95 it should begin with F4 and the Tie Rod Arm should be Curved.

There is an F5 part number spindle as well. Unsure what the change was, but i have one of each on my car...F4 and F5. Odd thing is they came off the same car.

94-95 spindles also push the front wheel out slightly. it's not much, maybe 1/4" or so. I have pictures of the same wheel on 5-lug fox rotors and my 94-95 spindles and you can see it came out a tiny bit.

96+ come out 8mm more than 94-95.

is a 2001 spindle that much different? that is what is going on my 93 here soon...

96-04 are the same, you dont want to use them with the Stock K Member or you are going to have issues with Bumpsteer.

I am going to buy a bumpsteer kit this winter....

check this website out northcobras.com or discbrakes r us and they brake it all the way down. The bumpsteer kit is very easy to install. just have your local machine shop drill out the hole where the red arrow is pointing to I believe to 5/8" and you are ready to go. How To Make Your Car Handle by fred pugh is a good book to read as for understanding the basics.
