Hey guys Im having a hard time putting in my new front springs. I have done this before(in my last car). Last time I put a jack under the A-Arm and un-bolted the two bolts in the back of the A-Arm, let the jack down slow, took out the old spring, and put the new one in. But this time the bolt is stuck in the A-Arm. I cant get it out for the life of me. Any sugestions would be great. I have tried putting the A-Arm in every angle to get the bolt out but it is just stuck in there. I have already come to the conclusion that it is the bushing that is holding it in there. I have tried liquid wrench and the bolt is currently about a half inch out. Any help please.

Thanks,
Dave

I can't help you with any ideas mate. Maybe a long drift and a hammer?!?!? Hope you have the job done already though.

had a similar problem yesterday. find a wrench close to the size of the diameter of the bolt stick it on the shaft of the bolt and beat the handle of the wrench.

you're doing that the hard way man. disconnect at either the top of the strut or bottom, (you'll need a ball joint seperator too), let down on the jack and the a arm will pivot down at the 2 bolts you're trying to take out and the spring will come out. reverse to put back in. it's how i've always done it and i've never had ANY problems.

I'd want to fix the seized bolt situation rather than just do a work-around.

Common problem. Do you have air tools?? What I do is use an impact.....clockwise...then counterclockwise....keep doing this back and fourth until the bolt comes out. It works every time. Or you could get an air hammer and hit it with that. I had this problem last night, and this is what got me out of a jam.

Not sure what springs you've been putting in....probably lowering springs or stockers....try road race springs.....your idea aint going to work.
