I recently noticed that my driver side front suspension is making a high pitched squeaking sound, its pretty loud. It only does it if you barely push down on that corner and pretty much all of the time when i drive. But it doesnt do it at all if you push down really hard and let it spring back up, no squeak then. What could be causing this, and what should i look into?

All opinions and ideas are appreciated, Thanks.

lube the upper arm bushings. if they sieze the shock towers will flex, and eventually crack. the other thing that causes squeaking is the lower coil spring mount bushing.

Agree about uper control arm bushings. Often there is no provision for lubricating them and the only satisfactory fix is to install "lubeable" bushings. I did this years ago and haven't had a problem since.

A problem that I found on my car was that the area where the lower control arm mounts was rubbing the control arm due to bottoming out. This is a pretty easy fix, just bend it out.
Kind of strange, I've never seen anyone else complain about this. But It's worth a check.

I also just read this thread; and felt a sudden urge to activate and account to reply to this one. I bought new UCA's from PST, they squeaked from day one, it became such an agrevation that I would not drive the car. I tried lubing them in everyway imaginable. The only thing that solved the problem for me was $595 TCP upper control arms. GOOD LUCK!
