I just installed the new 1" sway bar on my 66 and I would like to know if the end link bushing component (that mounts at the ends of the sway bar) should set perfectly vertical or does it have a cant toward the front of the vehicle?

I have not tightened the nuts completly down as yet, mine are angled to the front slightly.
I can post images if you need them.

Theoretically they should be vertical. How much angle are we talking about?

Tomorrow morning I am going to put the original 1/2" bar on and see how it lines up.
The links are definitely leaning forward, more on pass side than drivers.
Could be the 1" sway bar is not made properly/

I had this issue when I installed a 1" on my 68, at the time I had the wrong springs and my car was sitting way too low, when I put the rght springs on it the end links where vertical then...

I don't have the springs back in yet, but I do think I have not tightened the struts far enough which when I do will pull the lower control arms forward as required.

I am rebuilding everything up front so easy for me to mess up a bit.

I recall more threads exposed out the front of the struts than are now.

Update
I loosened all the hardware on the struts and installed the springs and shocks and the end links are now aligned better.

Hopefully after I install all the tie rods things will right themselves.
