FRPP Bullit Pedals??

I like these pedals but it says they're for 94-04. What's different about the 99-04 pedal assembly that would make these not work on a fox? I've seen them installed on foxes so either people are customizing them to fit or AM doesn't know all pedal assemblies are the same?

I can tell you that the clutch and brake pedals are a completely different shape in the Fox cars. I've seen them in Foxes though and would like to know how it's done as well.

I'm curious to see what the difference is as well. I considered those pedals but like the thread poster, was unsure of how the pedals were different.

I have them in my Fox. The brake pedal is a REAL tight fit but a little trimming and/or some lube/soap/oil to help it slide on will do the trick. That's what I did for the AOD brake pedal.

Gas and dead pedal are a direct swap... I trimmed the brake and clutch pedal with a die grinder..

Ditto. But I used a hack saw on my pedals. One of them I was able to get installed pretty easily, but the other one required cutting. And then I used some epoxy to permanently attach the brake and clutch.

As for the differences, the fox pedals are more like a parallelogram, all sides the same basic size, like this: / / while the SN95 ones are more like a trapezoid like this: \ /

Anyway, they sure do look nicer when clean!

Got my pedals and have 3 of the 4 on. The gas pedal has a pin holding the stock plastic pedal on. For the life of me, I cannot get it off. What's the secret to getting the pin to move?

It's a twist rivet, so it's really in there good. Try to get a flat piece of metal and force it out a little from the right side. After you have the rounded head away from the actual pedal, grab it with some pliers and pull - and twist. That's how I did it, anyway.

Yes, it is in there well. I ended up breaking off my stock pedal and then I was able to remove it with some vice grips, pressing the pin out of the shaft. I ended up cracking the plastic on the new pedal pressing it back in, so be careful with it.

This sucks, I can't get that f'in rivet off no matter what I do. Twist, pull, yank, hammer, it won't budge at all. WTF? This install has been nothing but a PITA.

Been there done that. Just work at it harder. Needle nose pliers were my savior since they were easy to grab with and pull without losing grip.

Understand though, I'm a big guy weighing in at 240 and standing about 6 feet tall. I'm more exhausted from trying to wedge my body in the car than actually trying to pull the thing out, lol. Can the whole pedal assembly be removed cuz' I think it would be so much easy to do outside of the car?

You don't want to take the entire assembly out, lol. just look up there and see where the bolts are.

are you wiggling it back and forth quickly as you pull it out? slow won't do much

Very hard to do much of anything since the head is facing towards the tranny tunnel. I can't grip it straight on so I'm gripping the head from it's side and twisting, turning etc. Pulling is hard since lack of room. If only the clowns at Ford would've had the head on the left side.

Did you even push it out far enough so you can grab onto the actual stud and push AGAINST the head of it? That's what I meant, it gives major leverage.

To push it out far enough, get some kind of punch or something and smack it. Or push a flat piece of metal against it real hard to move it (which is what I did).

Yes, I have tried pushing the stud to get the head out further but I just can't get enough of a grip on it.

That is one reason I just broke mine off. And I installed the pin from the drivers side with the new pedal.

I installed my new Bullitt pedal with the pin the other way around too, LOL.
