Hello,
I'm getting ready to remove the stock differential cover for the first time, and install a new FRPP differential cover.
I have zero experience with differentials or gears or anything inside the pumpkin.
Should I put teflon tape on all of the bolts, including the fill plug, drain plug, and the 10 outer bolts? Otherwise, will it leak? Someone else suggested silicone. Did they mean the glue stuff, like what people use as the gasket for the stock differential cover, or did they mean some sort of oily substance?
Is there anything else I need to watch out for?
I've got an FRPP gasket, so I'm not going to use sealant, just the gasket.
