What kind of "kit" do you mean exactly? An ignition box?

MSD is definitely the most popular, but most of the ones you mentioned should do you just fine if you're wanting a better spark and a cleaner burn on a modified engine. FRPP doesn't really offer anything in the ignition box department anymore for the 5.0's any more. Even when they did, it was made by MSD. Do you have any kind of power adder that would reqire some kind of timing control?
