what would be a good electric fuel pump for a carbed 408w making 500-550hp? heard that horizontal pumps are better b/c they use the fuel to cool them? leaning towards aeromotive or barrygrant. also what size fuel line should i have? opinions on return vs. deadhead type system? just tryin to get some ideas for a good fuel delivery setup. plan on hooking all this to a holley hp carb and a 16 gal sumped fuel cell in the spare tire well. any help would be great!

My set-up is -10AN from fuel cell,to Aeromotive A1000 pump, then 100 micron filter (Aeromotive),-08AN lint to Aeromotive A1000 regulator (carb bypass style),-08AN to carburator,-08AN return, and fuel pressure gauge.

It works great, puts out alot of fuel and holds the pressure steady, pump wont over heat either (we have driven some long distances befor, even runing the tank on low the pump if fine).

My opinion, dont do the dead head, not as steady and is harder on a pump than the re-turn style.
