Not to be an @ss, but, Cams+mods= no need to worry about mpg. If mpg is an issue, your best bet is to leave it stock.

Why do people mod a v8 sports car and worry about how much miles per gallon they will get?
Crower Stg 2 PI SC cams, 4500 RPM stall TC, 4.30's in the rear, 20 MPG city, 24 MPG highway. If I was to put the 3.27's that the car had originally, there is no doubt in my mind that my car would be back to 30 MPG on the highway like it was stock.
With full tank 15.5 gal I get 200 miles
Because some of us can afford only one car and also want it to be fast.
Cams MAY drop 1MPG....MAYBE. I got 27 MPH highway with cams and full boltons. 25MPG on the way back with teh A/C on.
Now I get 25 highway and probbaly ALOT more since my 3.27s gears are back in.
ONLY mod where I noticed a drop in MPG was the 3.73 gears. Now with the 3.27s, my car gets ALOT better milage, but ill have to check.
