fuel economy and cam

The whole gas mileage argument is subject to too much opinion. Blackfang, while I understand what you are saying; it is a little presumptuous to claim that gas mileage shouldn't be a concern to anyone modifying their engines with aftermarket heads, camshafts or forced induction. As Bhuff previously stated, a large portion of Mustang enthusiasts daily drive their cars, and would like to increase performance without throwing their fuel economy to the wayside. I subscribe to MMFF, and there have been countless readers who wrote in with questions regarding fuel economy based on a H/C/I combo they had selected for their five liter or cams for their mod motor. With advances in head technology, camshaft grinds and better forced induction, creating more efficient power is becoming a reality. The previously stated modifications are not limited to the comparatively small group of people who use their Mustangs for the strip only.
