Guys I just got done completing some upgrades on my otherwise stock 302 motor and was wanting to know would I benefit from running 24lb injectors and using a 24lb mass air flow meter on a engine that is using GT40 iron heads with 1.7 roller rockers, 302HO camshaft advanced 4* and a GT40 Explorer style upper and lower intake setup? Do I need an adjustable fuel pressure regulator to run 24lb injectors? If I do need to use an adjustable fuel pressure regulator what kind of pressure do I need to be running with the hose off? at idle.... I already bought this setup off ebay and hope to have it installed on my next day off any thoughts guys....

Thanks,

Yes, that's a similar combo to the 93-95 Cobra, and they came with 24's. Do you need to run them? Not really. I know I'm probably running lean at WOT with my combo, and I'm still running 19's.

Well I did put the 24lb's in and the 75mm MAF meter and the truck is bucking at low speeds and fuel is being burnt out of the exhaust so do I need a tune or what else can I do to be able to run these new 24's?

.

Sounds like you have a mismatch somewhere. The meter and injectors should match and be fine. I would put the old parts back on and verify you don't have problems elsewhere. I would then try putting the injectors on and turn the FP down a hair to compensate. Then put the MA meter back on and turn the FP back up.
