my 89 5.0 has a fuel leak from the rubber hose by the tank. it has been laying on my exhaust. its the one with the squeezy connector thingys. can i just replace it with regular fuel hose and 2 clamps? i know i have to drop the tank.i need to know so i can call ford cause there is no aftermarket replacement.

Check your local auto parts store. Most of them have high pressure fuel injection line repair kits with the proper high pressure hose & a couple of ordinary worm gear hose clamps in a package.

The high pressure fuel hose should be a standard item, just like the hose clamps. If the hose will stand 60 PSI, and is fuel resistant, it should be good to patch or replace the Mustang fuel lines.

I saw a packaged kit in the Help! section last time I went to Advance Discount Auto Parts.
