where is it and how do i sheck if its bad or not? i heard its right behind the tb, but where and what does it look like? and if i were to get a new regulator how do i switch/replace it?
Your fuel pressure regulator is actually under and behind the throttle body. Find the chrome fuel rail and follow it back to the fire wall. The regulator should have a red vacuum hose connected to it. In order to change it, you may have to remove your upper intake manifold. Its three allen screws and its out. Go to www.jsperformance.com and pick up an Kirban adjustable fuel pressure regulator. You should also look into getting a guage so you can set the pressure to where ever you want it. www.50resto.com has a gauge and adapter kit that screws right into the shrader valve that is located on the fuel line.
BTW I got mine off without taking off the intake. Instead I took off the EGR and took my time. I also had to cut down a hex wrench to get to the left bolt.
