I'm restoring a 94 GT aode convert with 142k on the clock. I'm petty sure the fuel pump is on its way out and the injectors cant be that healthy. It pings slightly at WOT, even with 93 in it. Is a 255 lph pump overkill? its only 30-40 bucks more than a 155lph and theres no way I'm putting in another crappy 88!Also, would 24# injectors be overkill for mostly stock? I need a new MAF anyway, so i was gonna upgrade both. I figure you can never be too carefull when staying away from lean. Any help would be great.

Technically, a 255 is overkill, but since we have a return line on our fuel systems, it doesn't really matter. Same with the 24's, more than you need, but it leaves a lot of room for improvement later. I'm going with 30's for my new combo, and although it's really more than I'll need, I want some room for improvement later. Good luck!

chris pretty much coverd it. but i wouldnt go with a 255 unless you planned on doing a lot of mods, even a 155-195lph pump should support a decent H/C/I motor

You can get the 255lph but remember the more it flows the louder it is. Don't even bother with the 24lb. injectors either. You will have issues with them, even if you recalibrate the MAF for them, plus you will just waste a lot more gas and not gain any more power (may even lose power). If you have pinging, the cheapest easiest way to usually cure it is to spray the MAFS with Carb cleaner. Unless your going to do everything to the motor and CPU there is no point to upgrade the fuel system, it flows more than enough for up to around 300 HP. You will never see 300HP unless you change the H/I/C on the motor. Even then you still have a lot of miles on it.

If you have plans for making some hp I'd consider not going back with the stock inj, pump, & maf.

Just depends on how much power your gonna be trying to make.

You got an auto trans so don't forget 300fwhp is gonna be less rwhp. Or in other words, the auto trans is using more power than a stick so your fuel needs will be more. Don't make the mistake of using dyno results to judge fuel requirements.

Like others have said, if your gonna stay stock or very close to it, I'd stay with the stock inj's & maf.
