Guys,
I'll be installing a new 255 lph fuel pump on my '00 GT this weekend (ordered from Tim so it's the right pump for the returnless system). Any tips on the install? I'm already aware of the following:
1. As little fuel as possible in the tank to reduce weight
2. Quick disconnect tool for the line to the filter.
3. Support the tank with a jack.
4. Don't catch myself on fire and burn down the car at the same time.
Anyone have any advice that would be helpful? It looks reasonably straightforward & Vortech has a pretty good .pdf file with instructions - just looking for info from those that have done the swap. I should have a re-flashed chip for the MAF, injectors and pump back, so I'll be alright until I get a tune next month.
