Fuel pump installation issues???

I am installing my Walbro 255LPH in-tank pump and cant figure out which way the fuel pump sock/filter goes on...like which direction it points? Ive went through 2 od these socks/filters trying to figureo ut which way it points. I need help ASAP folks, thanks!!!

Doesn't matter which way it points as long as it fits in the tub inside the tank correctly. I don't know offhand which way that way, just look in there with a flashlight.

Should face toward the front of the tank.
