Ok, here it goes. I've been having problems with my fuel pump on my 94 Cobra. The entire fuel system is custom. I know I know thats the problem...LOL But just bare with me some. The pump over heats during regular street driving. To the point where it cavitates... and I have to pull over and allow it to cool. It has been this way since the car was put together. The hotter it is outside, the sooner it happens....
My car is 500+rwhp so it needs fuel when on it, so my system is set up for that. I have a 22 gallon fuel cell not sumped, custom pickup with large inlet, Aeromotive A1000 external fuel pump, large fuel line 5/8"... Aeromotive regualtor, Big UPR fuel rails, 60lb injectors... 1/2" return line.. to a seprate internal return routed to opposite side of pick up.
If any of you might be able to shed some light on this, it would be greatly appreciated!!!!
Any questions too... fire away.
