fuel pressure settings??

Whenever I purchased my adj fuel pressure reg it came with a piece of paper that said that stock fuel pressure was 43 psi. That made my car run real rich so i searched this forum and found a post that said it was 33psi. So i turned it down to that and then put my car on the emissions analyzer at school and i thought i could smell the car running rich but my teacher said by the numbers on the machine (which i dont remember them all, except my hc's were about 2900) that my car was running lean. What should the fuel pressure be set at???

Here is what i have done to my car thus far

Cobra Intake Manifold
E303 cam
MSD 6AL
MSD Blaster Coil
MSD 9mm Wires
BBK 1 5/8 headers
BBK offroad X pipe
BBK 190 LPH fuel pump
BBK Cold Air Induction
76mm MAF
70mm Throttle Body
Flowmaster 2 chamber mufflers
3.73 Gears
Steeda Upper Control Arms
Granatelli Weight Jacker Lower Control Arms

AND

I have ordered this these parts but i havent got them in the mail yet.

AFR 165cc Pedastal mount 60cc combustion chamber Cylinder heads
1.6 roller rockers
ARP Head studs
Nitto 555R Drag Radials
Electric Fan

What should my fuel pressure be at after i install these things.

So basically what I am asking is....

What should it be with my current mods and whenever I get my new parts what should it be then?

Stock FP is 39.5psi, but 40psi should be fine. I see you have an E-cam as I have the same. It can be a PITA to get idling decent. I assume your running the 19# injectors.. I hope your going to go with some 24's with the new heads. The computer has adaptive learning and will over time help the car run better or hit the target A/F. Without something to tune it with, you'll have to take what you get for drivability. I tune with a Tweecer and I can make changes and I add more power. I would put it at 40psi Vac. off. Should get you close.

it sounds like something those damn rice burners use

Off the Tweecer site:
The TwEECer is an advanced tuning device, providing you the key that opens the door to the Ford EEC (Electronic Engine Control). With the opening of this door you will be able to control all aspects of spark advance, fuel delivery, air metering, Transmission shift points, converter lock/unlock, shift pressure.

A very powerful tool!!! Once you learn how to use it. I can adjust things you've never even heard of.. :D

A search in here or on the internet will yield a wealth of info about the TwEECer. Simply stated it is a handheld tuning devices which allows you to reprogram nearly any function inside the EEC.

What the piece of paper might have been talkin about was that the stock injectors flow rates are obtained at 43 PSI.

I agree with WHUN about trying it at 40 PSI at simulated WOT (FPR vac line removed) and go from there.
Remember that the injector pulsewidth will adapt (if it can) to try to maintain stiochiometry, except at WOT where tabling is used.

Good luck.

So lets say senario your riding in your car (provided you have a laptop). You can make real-time adjustments to; ex. fuel pressure, timing, shift points (aod-e) etc, and see results all while lets say "cruising"? How perminent are these settings, also is there an actual code editor?

Mine hasn't been delivered yet, but here is how I understand it.

The TwEECer R/T can data log and display real time (via the laptop). In order to make changes to the EEC code you need to have the engine shut off, and the key on.
So, you can make changes by just pulling over to the side of the road for a few seconds.

If this is an incomplete or even incorrect response I hope someone will correct me. :)
