The HPS pads are made to work at higher operating temps. I've noticed when they are cold they lack initial bite.

I used Stoptech's break in proceedure when I had my '03 Cobra and with my 92 GT with Cobra brakes. The brakes worked much better after the bedding proceedure. I have used both Hawk HPS and Hawk HPS+. If you don't get sick from the motion and fumes during the bedding process you aren't doing it correctly.

Ah, thanks. I'm assuming this works with the PBR front brakes too?

I'm using Hawk HPS in the rear and PBR stocks in the front.

The stock Cobra pads rock on the street. They last well and have excellent initial bite. I plan to use them after the open track season is complete. The Hawk pads are very good. One thing to keep in mind is the Hawk pads dust like crazy.

PBR makes the Cobra calipers. They are also used on the C5 Vette. The Stoptech bedding proceedure can be followed for your setup.
