i just got my bbk ceramic long tubes and high flow cated h-pipe and mac cat back in and i dont notice any power change. what could be the culprit. the car doesnt sound compleatly smooth on idle, i dono if i can just hear it better now or what. heres what i could think of.

o2 sensors
vacuum leak
crappy high flow h-pipe (i got it used, although he clamed to only put on 50 miles on it )

or does it just need some time for the computer to adjust. im gona go run my g-tec and see if theres any diffrance in numbers on there. please give me some imput, i live in this bored i just dont post much.

The computer does need time to adjust, and sometime depending on what you got going on with your car you may loose some low end and gain high end performance give it time, plus once you start driving it it will start to sound different. not to be dumb but are you sure he didn't just sell you a stock H pipe???

ya im sure haha, i can tell its a bbk high flow for long tubes, also how do you detect an exhaust leak, and will that kill performance.

He put longtubes on, so theres no way he could have used the stock H.

It seemed my car ran funny and didn't gain any power when I first installed the LT's with H pipe, then a few days later, it came in. The computer needs to learn.

An exaust leak will make a tapping sound and it won't hurt power, but sound like crap.

Depending on the mufflers, most don't need to be "broken in". I think Mac mufflers are chambered kinda like Flows with metal baffles inside so they do not break in. Only mufflers that break in are the regular "Turbo" mufflers with the fiberglass packing in them.
