Funny idle

Someone help me, i have a 98 GT and the car runs fine except when slowing down to stop at a light, when i depress the clutch the idle shoots up to about 2-3 thousand rpms and does't come down to the normal 600-800 until i come to a complete stop. I just replaced the iac valve and Im not sure what else could be the cause of this problem.

You wouldn't happen to have a throttle body spacer?
After I put mine on the 99 GT I have the same idle problem.
I also notice it just driving around shifting gears, the idle will stay up or go up another 500 rpm between shifts.

Mine does the same thing. I figured it was something with the computer.

No i do not have a throttle body spacer, did u ever fix this problem...maybe i need to get a throttle body spacer? Any help would be great and thanks for earlier replies.
