Funny smell....

Ok, so i was wondering if anyone else has this issue. Every time i floor the stang, running almost toward red line but stopping maybe 500 rmps before it, the car has this burning clutch smell. I just dont understand why that is happening. Funny thing is i have a neighbor that always floors his focus and it has the same smell after he runs it hard. So im wondering if anyone else here has that problem...and if so, what can i do to fix it. I honestly HATE that smell !!!!

I would check that the e-brake is released and have the clutch pedal adjusted (if you have one).

im pretty sure its burnt clutch, however i will try to get another opinion too just to make sure

welcome to the club. Mine does this also, but only after getting the clutch replaced =[

Been like this for over an year. I want to get the whole clutch system redone with a new flywheel.

Did you get your clutch replaced recently? Or did you buy the car with this problem?

No cats on my car btw.
