Future Combo: Your Thoughts

OK, I am planning out a setup for my car and would like some opinions/changes I should do before I go out and purchase.

CHP 347 street fighter shortblock
Trick flow twisted wedge heads*
trick flow stage one cam*
Cobra intake manifold(ported lower)*
comp cams 1.6 magnum rockers*
76mm MAF with 30#injectors
75mm TB*
255lph fuel pump*
AFPR
* is what I have but can sell and upgrade

for exhaust I have is 1 5/8 equal lengths, Prochamber and Magnaflow exhaust
I also have 3.55 gears if that is any help to a combo setup

I was looking at selling the cobra and buying a RPM 2 or Track heat intake manifold

let me know

Sounds good ...
The cobra might choke it up top depending on porting ...
I would throw it together and see how you like it first ...
If you become dissatisfied, start shopping then ...

Besides, the odd and end necessities of the swap are gonna add up quickly (unless you've already calculated this in to your budget.

Id step up in ur intake and cam selections. The tfs 1 is a great cam, but I think a little small for a 347, id look at something like the tfs stage 2 cam for the 347 and as far as the intake goes, the cobra would be ok...but I think you will see more power from something like the edelbrock rpm 2 or track heat, or holley

for that combo, i would rather see a RPM 2 intake, a better cam also. the stage 2 would work MUCH better or a custom one. YOu have the air coming in good with the MAF and t-body, so why choke the intake off?

I would upgrade it so you maximize it's breathing potential. A bigger cam will better suit your 347. Add LTs and upgrade to a better intake. The more she breathes the better.

Money doesn't grow on trees, so if budget in an issue, I would just do what you have planned and see how if performes. I belive too that the cam is a little small as well as the cobra intake. I think a TFS II cam would probally be your best bet.

good choice on the TFS R intake. i really like mine alot.
talk to Jay Allen about making you a custom cam, tell him Nate Miller sent ya. he does GREAT work!

OT: whos making your 347? if you dont have anyone yet, talk to rick91gt. his link is in my sig. he made grn91lx's 347 and it looks great. Cheaper than dss, etc etc anyway. :D

I don't see the cam as "too small" because just because one buys a 347 doesn't mean they want to have a more unstreetable cam (Stage 2).

I do agree however a custom cam would be nice...but the TFS1 will be fine.

Go for what you have planned...it will have a nice flat torque curve I bet...

Anybody ever ran the Ford 347?

Keep in mind a TFS II in a 374 will have the street mannors of a TFS I in a 306. Well, maby not exactly the same but as cubes, and compression increase, so does the engine's air pulling capability, so a "big" cam kind of seems small on a bigger motor.

I belive maby it would be best to just put the car back togeather as is and see how it performs, then go from there weeding out the bottlenecks.
