Here is a horrible picture of what my 89GT looked like when I got it. It was GHETTO with 16" chrome cobra r knock offs and in shambles and had GHETTO sticker writing all over the windows and had cut springs :nonono: :

Below is as of today... I know I know the paint scheme is really pimp. If you PM me I'll give you directions on how to make a paint scheme of your own like mine :nice:

Ready for paint. I added a Front bumper/rear bumper/fender/3" cowl hood/LX taillights. The new MAC Cobra exhaust, racing seats, headlights are waiting until after the paint:

looks like your making alot of progress. my terd is still sittin in my parents yard till i get some money to replace my computer.

Thanks. Which one -the 1989GT or the 2001GT under the carport tonight

I'm guessing the turd 89GT with teh $500 Harwood hood on it that I don't want to get smashed by a tree or broken by HAIL. :nice:

For those of you who don't know we North Alabamians and Southern Tennessians are expecting a Tornado outbreak this afternoon... I'll be the naked guy running down the Parkway screaming "We're all gonna die!!!"

Im gonna be pissed if a tree falls on my car. but i can replace the body for a few hundred dollars. i think i am going to use the weather as an excuse to leave work early and go to the gym

i think i would put the one that doesn't already need a paint job under the carport. but on the other hand you might want to put the one with liability insurance under the carport.

I'd spring for 2K minimum on the paint... That way you know you are getting what you want. All of the trim painted black and the rest of the car painted in the correct color [of your choosing]

Good luck!

It's not that you can't get it done for $1,000.00 If you did a lot of the prep work on the car prior to dropping it off at the spary shop, you would save a ton of money. But a great paint job is made from great prep work.

Shop around in your neighborhood to get some competitive quoting and see how much you can get for your 1K. But just remember that you might have to go back later on and get another re-spray.
