I have a 89 5.0 and a little bit of gas appears to come from the tail pipes. i was wondering if this just means my cats have been punched out because it sounds a little louder than stock. If I let it idel for a bit and snap it to 4K it will shoot it a good 5' back
You sure its not water? Water is a biproduct of combustion and condensation can collect in the mufflers, also if gas was comming out the tails it would be running so rich that your eyes would be watering.
Probably water. One time my buddy called me saying one of my tailpipes was gushing water for a few seconds after a good rain, and when it was nice and cold.
