In my 65 fastback the gas pedal just kind of flops around...(be nice)
I was wondering if there was some kind of a tension type spring that would eliminate this problem?
Perhaps I am missing some parts or they are worn out?
It just doesn't seem right the way it is now?
Thanks,
Scott

There is supposed to be a spring on the pedal, new ones are available from all the suppliers.

There are new springs available from the Mustang parts vendors, but you might also check to make sure that the screw wasn't replaced with something that lacks the correct diameter grip length (unthreaded portion of the shank) to locate the pedal.

I will check...

I need to check and see if there is even a spring there..
Kind of hard to describe but the pedal is just "hangin" there now.
Lots of slop doesn't feel right.
If the spring is missing or loose it would be a cheap/easy fix!!
