Anyone remember a web page where a guy fabricated his own fuel tank? Can't recall where I saw it. Might have been linked from SN or maybe someplace else. I wanted to read the article again. Thanks

This one is in my 66, its made of stainless steel and has an in tank fuel pump for EFI. Any good sheet metal worker can make such a tank out of any metal you choose (aluminum, steel), just give him your origional tank and say copy it.

Your's looks good! I am considering making one and I remember an article of this guy building one and wanted to reveiw the features and read why he did things a certain way. I just can't remember where I saw the article. Anyhow, I'll figure it all out.

Marshall, Got any pics of the inside? I'd like to see how you set up the baffling, if you have baffles.

Sorry dont have pics of inside, it has no baffles instead it has a 'swirl pot' which is a metal box built around the efi pump pickup. The return fuel line discharges into the box alongside the pickup line which has a filter on it.
I simply duplicated exactly what was inside the Falcon fuel tank that I used as a donor car for eng/ g'box. I figured if ford engineers got the falcon to run OK then mine should too. and it does.
Have a look inside a modern cars fuel tank & you'll see what they do these days.
