When I recently put in my 255lph pump last week I noticed the baffle that the pump sits down in is like loose? i think the spot welds broke. it kinda stays in place a lil but im a lil concerned it could be a problem. The obvious solution is a new tank, but I was wondering if anyone had this happen. Should I be like really concerned to the point where I need to buy a new tank right away? its an old car and I figure the tank is original. I jus dont want my car gettin choked for fuel.

No problem. I fixed mine (got a used tank) because I was bored lol and because I was putting in a new fuel pump. I has 205/70/14 tires on it originally and the back end would shimmy around corners or over bumps and the baffle would rattle. At the time I knew it was in the tank but didn't know what it was. When I switched to the 245/45/17 tires, it wouldn't rattle anymore, unless I'd shake the back end of the car very hard.
