Does the type of gas i put in my car affect it that much, because I have a 97 GT that just has intake and a filter on it, and it squeaks a little bit, but i have been running the cheapest gas i could get because here in the bay area california cheapest is running at about 2.10-2.20 per gallon with premium from 2.45-2.55.

all companies get gas from the same supplier. Only difference is what additives they put in their fuel. I use Chevron. To answer your question it's subjective. I think it does. Test it out for yourself. Fill your car with cheap ghetto neighborhood gas a quarter tank. Then use a company like Chevron.

I can't get it up......ok that didn't sound right.
Good rule of thumb: Always buy gas from a place that is busy. This way, the gas doesnt have time to sit and develop carbon contamination.
