Hey everyone. I thought I had my problems solved, but they are back. I replaced my tps (well read this thread)
http://www.corral.net/forums/showthread.php?t=908667
to see what happened leading up to thi s. So my 75mm PMAS MAF came in today and wow it really changed the idle and cleaned things up alot. No more surge like with the C&L. I've found gasoline in the vacuume line that runs from the FPR to the intake. Pulling the oil dipstick and smelling it, it reeks of gasoline. When the key is turned to the 'run' position, the fuel pump relay energizes it for 2 seconds.
The fuel pump runs and brings the pressure up to 40psi. Then as soon as the relay cuts power to the fuel pump, pressure drops to 30psi, and you can hear what sounds like a gurgle/liquid going down the drain sound....SO>>>> signs of a bad fpr? The car drives like SH**. I puled it off, but you cant dissasemble it, so I cant see the diaphram to tell if it's ruptured. THANKS

ALSO I have a cowel mounted FP gauge, and it's getting it's readings from the schrader valve/fuel rail test-port. Is that before or after the regulator? Because at wot the FP is 40psi, but is that accurate? I am thinking of getting a aeromotive fpr that has the gauge-port on the regulator itself......See what I'm getting at? Maybe my gauge is taking readings wrong because of how it's attached to the test port???

The only other thing I could think of to fix this would be possibaly a hall effect unit for the distributer. Does ANYONE know a part# or where to get one without buying a whole new distributer??! THANKS AGAIN!!!:SNSign:

Your gauge is hooked up right and 40psi at wot is correct.

Fuel in the vac line is very bad though. Junk that regulator for a new one.
A failed regulator is the only way for fuel to get in that line.
