Gauge cluster question.

I was curious about the gauge cluster on the GT's. I have seen several that only have two hauges in the center with the ODO in the center too. It only seems to be 05s so I figured it must have been an update but just now I found two 05s that do have all four gauges and the ODO is under the speedo.
Whats up with this? Was there an optional cluster besides the variabl color one?

Hey Laser, good to see you expanding your horizons a little and stopping in.

There are 2 different gauge clusters for these cars. I can't remember what option gets you the extra gauges though. It might be the interior upgrade package that gets them for you. I'm sure someone will know for sure.

Yes the interior upgrade package comes with the 6 gauge cluster, and the non iup has the 4.
Also iup has the mycolor and 4 noniup does not. There are some threads on how do upgrade to 6 and mycolor if you search.

So besides the gauges what else is included in the package?

I really dropped the ball when the S197s came out. I know Foxes and SNs foreward and back but realized I know very little about the S197s.
I was suprised to learn they are lighter then I though. Always hear people ay they are too heavy but they are lighter then my Cobra was

So where is the switch to change the lights color?

You use the 3 buttons just to the right of the steering wheel on the dash to access it. There are some preset color or you can adjust the red blue and green to get just about any color you want. The dash also gets a silver color across it instead of being all black. I think the shift knob is a different color too. I haven't looked very closely at any without the IUP so I'm kinda going by memory here.

The iup also included the satin dash panel.

Yes to all that. And you can upgrade if the wiring is already there. I have the IUP and can't imagine not having it on my GT. I upgraded a non IUP on a V6 to the IUP.
Mycolor is no big deal in my opinion. I'd have to consult the manual to tell you how to change colors. I think I did it once. Got the color I liked and left it alone.
