im working on installing my mech water temp gauge, and i got a few ?'s. i have a tfs street heat intake and i was just wondering if those two allen wrench screws on the back of the lower intake is where i should install it to. its a water passage, but i dont know if this is the best place to put it. where would you guys suggest i install the probe? thanks.

I am not familiar with your intake, but I would keep the sensor as close as possible to the stock sending unit location.

Has anyone compared the temperatures at the four corners of the lower intake?

Jason, my driver side rear port seems to see the same amplitude/range, but it does so with slower reaction time.

It seems to me that flow back there is reduced, so the sender has to wait for radiant heating/cooling of the coolant and that can be why it reads 'slow'.

I agree all the way about sticking with the stock location (if applicable with that intake).

I have always been curious about that.
