I mounted a two pillar pod (88 GT vert) on top of the existing pillar. It sounds bad, but I dont even pay attention anymore. I was once going to remove the original pillar and blend the gauge pod to the orig pillar, but I never bothered.

Check out what Dave has for gauges - if he has a pillar pod, it will be custom (from Alan perhaps) and look good.

You don't really need to "drill", just use a sheet metal screw. You will want to mechanically fasten it to the original piece, since the tape crap is worthless. The 3 gauge pod I used to have was better than the 2 gauge that I have now.

You are going to have to get creative then. Or get another pillar-trim-piece and use it behind the pod.
The instructions have one use the little plastic plugs (included) to mount the pillar.

In my vert, the two gauge pod doesnt even exactly fit the contour of the original pillar (I think the box said it was not for verts - do they even make a pod for verts? I did not think so).

I am with Jason - the triple I have in the 94 is a lot nicer IMHO than the two gauge version.

Good luck.

Where do you get triple pods at? All I've seen are double.Does anyone make one that replaces the original?

Autometer should. For the pillar on my SN, I removed the stock pillar and use the gauge pillar alone (I dont think that was how they instruct you to do it though).

Good luck.

Put the gauges in the a/c vents instead. You can use larger full sweep faces, and they don't look nearly as intrusive.
