Well this may sound weird and some may say Im destroying the value of the car!!!! Anyway I am pulling my Series II blower off, and replacing it with a centrifical. Well Im going to a 3 pod A piller guage pod, with Luner Gauges. I need to pull the Saleens Gauge Pod out, does anyone know how to do this. I tryed pulling the gauges out, but to no avail. Can anyone please tell me how to do this?????? Also where does the postive wire from the intercooler pump go to, it goes from the pump and into the right side fender well. How do I disconnect that, or is it easier just to cut it since I will have no further use for it??? Thanks I appreciate it!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jake :bang:
 
I removed mine to change the bulbs. You have to remove the main gauge cluster, then you can pass your arm through the gauges and access under the center pod. There a 3 screws which hold it down, once you loosen the bolt you can use your fingers. You need a small hand... But why don't you just add a pillar on the left side so you don't have to mess with center pod??
 
I agree. I don't see anything wrong with the A pillar gauges. I like that they are in your face at all times. But since you already have a spot for two good gauges I would use them. If you "hack" even one wire or part of the pod or some wiring you will be pissed later. I know you were not asking opinions. Sorry.

Yes, there are screws behind. The easiest access is though the gauge cluster.

What other two gauges are you planning for the A pillar?
 
Listen to Marcus he is Wise, really, dont remove the pod... You going to buy a whole new dash to fill the holes? Leave it there, maybe replace the saleen guages with oil pressure or voltage, then put your new supercharger guages in the A pillar.
 
Thanks guys for your help, yeah I might just leave it there, but the gauges are being sold with the blower. I am going to run a boost, fuel pressure and a A/F meter gauges, I think it will look really cool!!!!!!!! The Novi 2000 I am putting on should wake it up alot better then that small M90. Hey another question too, the Series IV blower, I here that is like a Whipple 1.7 and the Extreme has like a 2.3 Whipple, is this fact or fiction???? Thanks Jake

Mstng2 had an excellent idea. Keep the pod and ad a couple of gauges. Jake, go ahead and sell those two Saleen gauges if you have to to make the sale. You can always find those on ebay. The pod itself may be a bit more difficult to replace. Keep it please. Then add your A pillar gauges. Your ride wont be any slower by leaving a few wires behind that you will wish you still had later.

So just use your center pod for the boost and fuel pressure, you don't need to add a pilar for A/F gauge which is quite useless! So it'll still look like stock!

Yes the S281E use bigger 2.3L whipple, while series4 is I believe a 1.6L and not 1.7L...
 
Unless the A/F you plan on using is a wideband setup, don't waste your time.
Those autometers that just light up are a joke, and meant for hondas.
